Before Raw kicked-off last night, a rumor did the rounds that both Lita and Trish Stratus were set to appear for a segment involving Becky Lynch and Damage CTRL, but The Man only ended up being joined by the former for her face-off with Bayley and her cronies.

Lynch interrupted the Ding Dong, Hello show before Lita's music hit for a massive pop from the crowd. The enemies-turned-allies then challenged Io Sky and Dakota Kai for their WWE Women's Tag-Team Championships, and the match has now been set for next Monday.

As it turns out, Trish was originally supposed to be part of this angle.

According to Fighful, Stratus was actually in the building for Raw, but left the arena shortly before the segment. The only reason we've been given is a "creative change."

We assume the plan was for Becky, Trish and Lita to face Bayley, Sky and Kai in a 6-woman tag-match at WrestleMania, but this last-minute change may indicate that they're saving Stratus' arrival for a Raw closer to the event.

Our guess? The "numbers game" will cost Lita and Becks the titles next week, and they'll call in some back-up to even the odds.
