Vince McMahon recently made the decision to shake up creative for the RAW brand, and Bruce Prichard is now in charge of both RAW and SmackDown. In recent weeks, it's been hard to ignore the fact that the newer stars Heyman was trying to build as Superstars of the future have fallen by the wayside, and it instead appears to be business as usual for WWE.
Recently, United States Champion Apollo Crews - who won the title during Heyman's tenure - spoke to Newsweek about the creative change and how it could have an affect on him moving forward.
"Since I’ve shown that I’m reliable, and trustworthy it doesn’t necessarily matter too much so that helps me in that sense," he started. "I don’t feel like it’s going to work against me. Working with Heyman was fantastic. He was so hands-on with me and he helped me a lot."
"He was one of the main reasons for me getting this opportunity and I’m very thankful for everything he’s done for me and helped me with," Crews continued, making it clear he enjoyed working with Heyman while he was in charge of RAW. "All I could do is look toward the future and I’m looking forward to working with Bruce [Prichard] as well."
It remains to be seen how much longer Crews will now hold the title, but he clearly didn't have an issue working for Heyman!
