So, it seems Roman Reigns is the new #1 contender for the Universal Championship, and will face the champ at SummerSlam. Why? Well, it's his yard and he calls the shots... apparently.
As Raw got underway tonight, Reigns came to the ring and declared himself to be next in line for Brock Lesnar's title - should The Beast get past Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire, that is. The Big Dog's comments brought Joe to the ring and the pair got into it before a match was made for Raw's main event.
It is interesting that Reigns has seemingly been confirmed as the next contender for the Universal title, because most insiders predicted that his face-off with Lesnar would be saved for WrestleMania. Of course, that could still happen if The Destroyer takes the championship from The Beast at GBOF!
