A lawsuit has been filed in federal court today by a former WWE employee, Janel Grant, who is suing Vince McMahon for rape, sex trafficking, and battery.
She's also accused WWE of being negligent and is suing former WWE Head of Talent Relations, and someone who we know has been a longtime friend of McMahon's, John Laurinaitis.
The document makes for disturbing reading and details a relationship which allegedly turned sour fast. McMahon is accused of sharing naked photos of Grant with other senior WWE employees, forcing her into group sex, verbally and physically degrading her, and causing injuries with sex toys. Some of this misconduct is said to have crossed state lines, hence the mention of trafficking.
It claims McMahon coerced Grant into violent sex with Laurinaitis and an unnamed WWE Superstar. When Vince's wife, Linda McMahon, found out about what had been happening, she was made to leave WWE and sign an NDA.
To call the content of this lawsuit horrifying would be an understatement. For example:
"Early in the encounter, McMahon immediately directed Ms. Grant to lay down on her back in a supplicating position. While straddling over her, McMahon defecated on Ms. Grant’s head. McMahon left to shower off, but he instructed Ms. Grant to remain in place, with excrement in her hair, and to continue performing for his friend. While Ms. Grant requested protection, none was offered. McMahon and Physical Therapist actively continued with the threesome and directed Ms. Grant’s sexual performance for around an hour and a half while she was left covered in feces."
McMahon was pushed out as WWE President and CEO in 2022 amid other sexual abuse and harassment allegations in an investigation which is still ongoing. Despite that, he returned to the company to facilitate its purchase by Endeavor, the owner of UFC. He now holds an Executive Chairman role.
Grant is seeking a wide range of unspecified damages. A spokesperson for TKO Group Holdings has said in a statement: "Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. While this matter predates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally." It's clearly time for the company to sever ties with its creator and, if what you'll see below is any indication, perhaps Brock Lesnar as well.
Yes, it's alleged that he's the WWE Superstar and former UFC star who McMahon told Grant to have sex with. He's said to have requested a video of her urinating, called her a "b*tch," and then made plans to meet which were disrupted by travel issues. That appears to have been the extent of his supposed involvement.
