Vince McMahon Pushing Back Against WWE Creative's Ideas To Strip Otis Of The MITB Contract

Otis was an unexpected choice to win the Money in the Bank contract, and with Drew McIntyre holding the WWE Championship on RAW and Roman Reigns the new Universal Champion on SmackDown, it's hard to take his run with the briefcase too seriously.

Recently, we've been hearing a lot about WWE potentially taking that from Otis, with the storyline surrounding The Miz and John Morrison a clear indication of that (they were previously responsible for Mandy Rose's move to RAW). Friday's episode of SmackDown will event feature Otis representing himself in a lawsuit against the tag team!

However, it sounds like Vince McMahon is keen to keep the contract part of Otis' gimmick...for now.

"There have been multiple pitched ideas to remove the MITB briefcase from Otis & make the storyline a main focus again, some of which are really decent ideas I’ve been told," claims the WrestleVotes Twitter account. "However, and this is a big however, Otis’ biggest fan is Vince. So right now, no go."

Do you think Otis should keep the Money in the Bank briefcase?
