Last December, WWE released Mandy Rose despite the fact she was one of NXT's biggest Superstars. We later heard that her FanTime account was the reason, with the NXT Women's Champion sharing increasingly risque content ultimately deemed too inappropriate for her to remain with the PG company.
Despite Rose's 413-day title reign ending abruptly on December 13, the wrestler and fitness model hasn't exactly struggled in the months that have followed.
It's previously been reported that interest in the aforementioned FanTime page went through the roof after her WWE release, resulting in Rose reportedly earning upwards of $1 million in less than a month. Since then, we've seen her prioritise her modelling career over pro wrestling, hence why she hasn't shown up in AEW or IMPACT Wrestling.
Rose, who now goes by Amanda Saccomanno, has publicly questioned her release (and the way it was handled), especially as WWE had no issue with her sharing a nude photo on Instagram in which she was covered by her NXT titles...and nothing else!
It appears the difference was that she was making money from FanTime, an OnlyFans-style service which didn't quite line up with WWE's policies.
During a recent Instagram Q&A, Rose addressed the likelihood of returning to WWE and at least seems open to the idea. Responding to a fan, she said: "I don’t know. I don’t know what the future holds, so..."
Signed in 2015 after competing in the sixth season of WWE Tough Enough, Rose initially competed on NXT before moving up to the main roster. There, she found success alongside Sonya Deville and Paige as part of Absolution and Fire and Desire before embarking on a memorable romance with Otis.
Fans were shocked when Rose returned to NXT last July as part of Toxic Attraction with a striking new look, and even more surprised when she won the NXT Women's Championship from Raquel Rodriguez later that year. The former Golden Goddess would go on to unify that belt with the NXT UK Women's title, cementing herself as a top female Superstar.
