WWE 2K22 Gets A First Trailer And A Much Later Than Expected Release Date

WWE 2K20 was a complete and utter disaster, and after the franchise took a year off, it will now return with WWE 2K22 a little later than expected. Find more details on that, and a trailer, right here...

When WWE 2K20 was released, it made headlines for essentially being unplayable. It was a PR nightmare for WWE and 2K Games, and everyone agreed that it was time for an overhaul.

Well, that's supposedly coming our way in WWE 2K22, and while the Tweet below promises new controls and a redesigned engine, we'll be waiting a little longer than usual to see that in action. The game is foregoing its usual Holiday release for March 2022, and it sounds like more details about what we can expect won't be revealed until early next year.

COVID has likely slowed things down, of course, but it's good that they're taking the proper time to make this game as good as possible. In terms of graphics, it feels like a lot of familiar problems persist (everyone looks pretty lifeless in terms of facial expressions), but it definitely has some potential.

A lot of familiar faces, including Roman Reigns, Bayley, and Bobbly Lashley can be seen here, though we're guessing quite a few Superstars have been cut following those recent releases!

Check out the trailer below:
