With no warning whatsoever, Talking Smack has been cancelled on the WWE Network. If you're surprised by the news, chances are you weren't anywhere near as shocked as hosts Daniel Bryan and Renee Young as they took to social media a couple of nights ago to share their reaction to hearing about the show's end from fans rather than WWE!
So, what's the deal with Talking Smack being cancelled? Well, moving the show from being aired live at the end of SmackDown Live to after 205 Live (a show no one seems to watch or care about) probably didn't help the ratings but that's not actually why this has happened. In fact, the only person we have to blame is the Chairman himself, Vince McMahon.
Apparently, he wasn't a fan of the show's unscripted nature and felt like it was portraying the company in a poor light. It's hard to say for sure whether or not he was right but you can actually see his thought process. After heavily scripting WWE programming all week, wrestlers saying what they want out of character doesn't make the most sense!
Still, Talking Smack gave us some amazing moments and really added some much-needed personalities to a lot of the SmackDown Live roster so it's going to be missed!
