WWE Has Reportedly Rescinded An NXT Contract Offer To A Top Talent Following Allegations

We don't know who it is (feel free to speculate), but a new report indicates that WWE has cancelled a developmental contract offer to a top young talent following recent sexual misconduct allegations.

The #SpeakingOut movement has resulted in several prominent pro-wrestlers from some top promotions being outed as (alleged) sexual abusers, and some have either been released from their contracts or put on suspension.

Now, we're hearing that WWE may have attempted to get ahead of the controversy by rescinding the offer of a developmental contract to an unnamed talent. We're not sure who, but wrestling journo Jon Alba believes it's a "top young talent."

"I’ve heard from multiple sources about #WWE pulling a contract offer from a top young talent involved in the recent string of sexual allegations that have come out about pro wrestlers. Obviously a situation the company (and everyone) has to take very seriously."

Alba won't name names, but there's speculation that it might be current EVOLVE Champion Josh Briggs, who was one of many independent stars to be accused of inappropriate behavior or sexual misconduct over the past week or so. Again, that's pure speculation, but Briggs is one of the bigger names on the indie scene to have allegations made against him.

WWE certainly seems to be taking these accusations seriously, as they've already released the likes of Jack Gallagher, Ligero and Travis Banks, and The Velveteen Dream may be next.
