WWE Is Reportedly Holding Off On Announcing A Date And Location For Next Year's ROYAL RUMBLE

According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE has decided against making any announcements regarding next year's Royal Rumble PPV. As you might expect, this is due to the ongoing uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the company recently forced to cancel SummerSlam, they're obviously being careful to avoid additional cancellations.

"WWE had planned on announcing the 2021 Royal Rumble date and location in early August," the account explains. "I’ve been told that announcement is on hold as the details regarding the event are likely changing."

WWE has been unable to hold shows with fans since March, and as of now, it doesn't appear as if that's going to change. There have been rumblings that SummerSlam could take place in a unique location with fans, but that would be massively irresponsible on the company's part, and could lead to a lot of bad press.

Over the past couple of years, the Royal Rumble has been held in baseball stadiums, but it's hard to imagine one of those being filled up for a while.

What do you guys think?
