It appears that WrestleMania 37 could be in jeopardy.
WWE revealed that next year’s location for the grandest stage of them all would take place inside the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on March 28, 2021; however, according to the Los Angeles Times, an internal Los Angeles Fire Department email stated that large gatherings could be restricted in the state for up to a year.
This isn’t much of a surprise as reports on a vaccine for the coronavirus say that it could take nearly two years for a cure to finally be ready. Mayor Eric Garcetti indicated as well in a conference call that big events may not be approved for at least a year.
Of course, it’s still too early to tell what will happen when WrestleMania 37 rolls around. If the company is forced to move the biggest show of the year to the Performance Center once again, then WWE will probably lose the same price range as WrestleMania 36, which financial lost between $15-$20 million.
The last time the company hosted WrestleMania in California was back in 2015 at Levi's Stadium in the San Francisco Bay Area town. That night, Sting made his WWE in-ring debut against Triple H, and Seth Rollins won the WWE Championship after cashing in during the Brock Lesnar/Roman Regins match.
