WrestleMania is done, and this coming week's episodes of RAW and NXT have reportedly been taped by WWE. However, with a stay-at-home order now in place in Orlando, there's some confusion about how exactly the company plans on taping show's moving forward as the COVID-19 pandemic continues causing chaos in the wrestling industry.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, there have been discussions about filming more shows (RAW, NXT, and SmackDown) away from the WWE Performance Center.
"They’re looking to tape SmackDown sometime between now and Friday," he explained. "I mean, there is a location they’re trying to keep secret. It’s supposed to be in a shut down state, but we’ll see what happens. Maybe they won’t be able to do it, maybe they will, but that’s the goal at least for this week."
WWE would be wise to tape several weeks of content if these mysterious tapings do happen, because there's a very strong chance that restrictions across the United States will soon make it impossible to do so. There are already concerns that All Elite Wrestling has been shut down, and it's hard to imagine how WWE can get around what's happening in states like Orlando.
WWE could choose to tape upcoming shows in Stamford, Connecticut, but at this point, it might just be best for them to treat the RAW after WrestleMania as a "season finale" of sorts for WWE programming.
