Xavier Woods Expected To Take Some Time Off TV After Hell In A Cell Match With Bobby Lashley On RAW

Xavier Woods had possibly the biggest match of his WWE career on Monday night when he battled WWE Champion Bobby Lashley inside Hell in a Cell on RAW. Unfortunately, he failed to dethrone the All Mighty, and it now sounds like the plan is to keep him off television for a while.

After the match, Lashley brutally attacked Woods as a helpless Kofi Kingston - who will challenge Lashley for the title at Money in the Bank on July 18 - watched on.

Well, according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, this angle was meant to write Woods out of storylines for the foreseeable. "I think Xavier Woods is getting written out of the storyline," he explains. "I’m not positive about that, but I did have someone mention that to me last night."

Woods has been selling the injury on social media, but is scheduled to host EA Play Live on July 22, so it would make sense for him to take a little time off to focus on his non-wrestling projects.

It would also make sense for Kingston to have to go into Money in the Bank alone, especially if WWE plans to bring back #KofiMania as fans return to shows starting next month.

Keep checking back here for updates on Woods as we have them!
