AEW Ups The Ante In War With WWE By Making A HUGE Change To Tonight's Episode Of AEW Rampage

The war between AEW and WWE continues to intensify, and a big change has been made to AEW Rampage that should definitely put a hit in viewership for SmackDown's commercial-free 30 minutes. Check it out!

Tonight's episode of SmackDown will air on FS1 instead of FOX, and that gives AEW Rampage a very good shot at topping the WWE Friday night show in the ratings (certainly in the 18-49 demographic). Vince McMahon won't let that happen, though, hence why the blue brand has added an extra commercial-free 30 minutes that will go head-to-head with AEW's show.

Well, shots have been fired from Tony Khan yet again as he's now confirmed that Rampage will air no commercials during its first match. The kicker is that this will be the case for CM Punk vs. Matt Sydal, and the Best in the World has proven himself a major ratings draw for AEW since his debut.

People do switch the channel during commercials, so AEW now has a good shot at topping WWE. They've also announced a special Buy-In on YouTube that kicks off at 9pm ET. That features:

Bobby Fish vs. Lee Moriarty
Bryan Danielson vs. Minoru Suzuki
Tay Conti vs. Santana Garrett
