Though he used typically underhanded tactics to achieve the victory, Max did manage to force the American Dragon to tap-out to his own submission move, which can't have been an easy pill for the proud grappler to swallow.
Tonight on AEW Dynamite, we saw an emotional post-match promo from Bryan, who admits that MJF was right about him all along, because he was putting himself and his career before his family.
Danielson ends the video by stating, "it's time to go home," which would suggest that he's planning to take some time off.
