During a recent edition of his Saturday Night Special YouTube show, Chris Jericho shared his thoughts on the controversial chair shot accident which happened during last week's episode of All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite

As you may recall, Sammy Guevara threw a chair at Hardy's head which ended up busting him open. It's believed that, in the heat of the moment, Guevara picked up a legit chair instead of a stunt one, a mistake he was chewed out for backstage. Accidents happen, but Hardy needed to have twelve stitches and could have been hurt even worse than that.

"[He] got some pretty crazy stitches from the chair shot from Sammy. We call that a happy incident in the business," Jericho explained. "It’s a terrible, terrible feeling when you hurt somebody by mistake."

Jericho added that something similar happened with Shawn Michaels' wife when they were feuding in WWE, but noted that, "It became a happy accident to where you suddenly have this feud that’s taken to a completely different level. That was what it’s like with Sammy and Matt. Thankfully, Matt’s okay. But now blood has been shed and I’m sure Matt does more than want to get his revenge. I think it’s going to add a lot of different layers to that angle."

Ultimately, it was just an accident, and one that Guevara will learn from moving forward. If nothing else, it's certainly made their feud even more personal, and should help keep the tension between them at an all-time high over the coming weeks.
