CM Punk And Kenny Omega Were Reportedly Kept Away From Each Other During AEW x NJPW: FORBIDDEN DOOR

With continued rumblings online that tensions remain high between CM Punk and The Elite, AEW fans are waiting with bated breath to see if this is leading to a match...or another real-life altercation.

AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door took place over the weekend, a show that Punk and Kenny Omega were both part of. Now, Fightful Select is reporting that the two pro wrestlers were kept on completely different sides of the building during the PPV, seemingly ensuring they wouldn't ever cross paths.

We'd guess the same was the case with The Young Bucks, but unless the whole thing is a work, this just seems like a sad situation at this stage.

During the show, Punk battled Satoshi Kojima, while Omega later squared off with Will Ospreay. While it was a successful event for AEW and NJPW, a number of wrestlers have suffered injuries, including Bryan Danielson and Dante Martin.

In related news, it sounds like issues between FTR and The Young Bucks have been resolved.

While Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood are good friends with the Best in the World, Dave Meltzer has confirmed that any animosity between the two tag teams has been laid to rest.

"FTR and Omega, the Young Bucks, they're all fine," he explained. "Some people think it’s like this divide with Punk and FTR against these guys. With Punk, there’s still fence mending that needs to be done for them to work together and everything like that. It could happen, it may not happen, time will tell, but with FTR, it’s fine."

It sounds like FTR were the ones who pushed to put any prior bad feelings to one side, and we're sure many of you will be hoping this leads to Punk and FTR vs. The Elite, a huge match which could deliver strong ratings for AEW for months of storytelling.

Whether everyone involved would be willing remains a mystery.

Very good show, Will Ospreay Vs Kenny Omega was probably best match of the night,Bryan Danielson Vs Okada was second, surprised Bryan won.
