CM Punk Now Expected To Be Part Of Wednesday's AEW DYNAMITE But Will The Elite Also Show Up?

After taking centre stage during Saturday night's debut episode of AEW Collision, it sounds like CM Punk will be part of Wednesday's Dynamite. Will Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks also show up, though?

CM Punk returned to AEW during Saturday night's AEW Collision premiere, and Fightful Select is now reporting that we'll also see him on Wednesday's Dynamite.

This was to be expected as the Best in the World is an undeniable ratings draw. Bear in mind that the June 21 show is also in Chicago, so a hot crowd eager to welcome Punk back into the fold is exactly what Tony Khan will want to get across on TV.

Needless to say, after Punk's shot at The Young Bucks, Nick and Matt Jackson, in the midst of that return promo, there's a lot of speculation about a match which would see Punk and FTR team up to face The Elite.

Well, if it is happening, it won't be for a while yet.

Neither Kenny Omega nor The Young Bucks are expected to be at Dynamite, meaning everyone will continue being kept separate for the time being. However, we're clearly not getting a hard brand split between these shows as some outlets initially reported.

It is, however, worth noting that The Elite has taped promos which will likely air on Wednesday night. At the moment, they're in the midst of a feud with the Blackpool Combat Club, while  Omega has also had issues with Konosuke Takeshita and Will Ospreay.

As for Punk, there's speculation he could once again square off with MJF, while there's a lot of chatter online about him facing KENTA, the originator of the GTS, at the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event.

Punk hasn't Tweeted since last June, so there are no clues there, but we'd be shocked if Khan isn't planning to make him a focal point of as many shows as possible moving forward.

Hopefully, we'll have more details to share soon as no official announcements about Wednesday's Dynamite have been made yet.
