Ever since last year's All Out press conference (which has since become known as "Brawl Out"), CM Punk's future with AEW has remained somewhat uncertain.

Clearly frustrated by the company's backstage politics, Punk vented his frustrations to the world and an alleged fight with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks followed. Legal issues supposedly came into play after that, and with the Best in the World on the shelf with an injury, the rumour mill started going into overdrive.

Punk will now return during the first episode of AEW Collision this Saturday and pro wrestling fans are waiting with bated breath to finally hear from the former AEW World Champion.

In a pre-recorded video package which aired during last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, Punk started by saying, "The only thing that's certain about CM Punk right now is that nothing is certain."

"I'm coming back for the same reason I came to AEW in the first place: I've got scores to settle," he continued. "There's still things left to do. Saturday, the 17th of June. 'Collision.' The United Center. I won't know what I'm going to do or say until I've got that microphone in my hand. I've got a lot of things to get off my chest."

What those are remains to be seen, though we're sure AEW is hoping that interest in the show will increase now they've teased a promo from Punk which will clear up a lot of long-standing questions around what happened last year.

In AEW Collision's main event, Punk will team with FTR's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler to take on ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold's Juice Robinson and Jay White.
