CM Punk's AEW Return Date Revealed - But He's Supposedly BANNED From Communicating With The Young Bucks!

New details have emerged about CM Punk's planned AEW return, including a likely date. However, we also have a troubling update about what's going on behind the scenes between him and The Young Bucks.

It seems CM Punk's return to AEW is now imminent and, in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer claims that his return will take place on the June 21 edition of AEW Dynamite.

The show hails from Chicago, and with it also taking place on a Saturday night, the belief is that AEW plans to use it to launch a new weekend show (thought to be called AEW Collison). One idea that's been floated around is to make Punk the main star of that, thereby keeping him away from the members of The Elite.

We're not sure it's the greatest idea in the world to put Punk on Saturday nights, especially when Dynamite and Rampage could use some help in the ratings, but we'll see.

Talking of The Elite, Meltzer also has an update on that front.

"As of the weekend there was no resolution to the situation and there are many situations and things involved. Punk has not apologized or attempted to make any direct amends to the Young Bucks, although those close to him said that’s because he’s been told not to have any contact with them and without any contact he couldn’t."

It's worth noting that Meltzer has heavily favoured Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks during this entire messy situation, so it might be best to take his comments with a pinch of salt.

No matter what you think about Punk's actions following All Out, there are definitely those who have framed him as the bad guy in this situation despite the fact it was clearly The Elite who orchestrated much of what frustrated him. Whether that's a result of them worrying about losing their spot is up for debate, though it seems likely.

Keep checking back here for updates as we have them.
