With the #SpeakingOut movement bringing a lot of abuse in the wrestling industry to light, All Elite Wrestling star Sammy Guevara found himself coming under fire for a podcast appearance he made back in 2016. Recalling being an extra at a WWE TV taping in Texas, he talked about Sasha Banks, and said, "I wanted to just go f–king rape that woman."

It was obviously said in jest, but an offensive, hurtful comment nonetheless. Since then, Guevara has apologised, spoken to Banks, and been suspended by AEW. There's been some concern online that this could lead to the end of his wrestling career (or at least his time with the TNT show), something which would be a shame when it boils down to him having said something extremely stupid when he was a much younger man.

Well, addressing a fan on Twitter last night, Cody Rhodes made it clear that Guevara will be back, stating: "Sammy will return. And he will be a better professional wrestler, and a better man when he does."

You can't really ask for much more than that, and Rhodes' comments can be found in the Tweet embedded below:
