Jake Hager Vs. Cody For The TNT Title Now Official For FYTER FEST; More Matches Added To Card

Cody has been a dominant champion ever since defeating Lance Archer in the finals of the TNT Title Tournament, but has be met his match in Jake Hager?

After teasing the match a couple of weeks ago, we got word that Big Hurt will challenge The American Nightmare for his TNT Championship at next week's Fyter Fest event last night on AEW Dynamite. A press conference was held to make the match official, with Hager's wife getting involved by throwing water over Cody. Yes, it looks like she will be added to this angle to counteract Brandi's presence at ringside.

Anyway, this is sure to be a terrific bout - although Hager really needs a win after coming up short against Jon Moxley for the AEW title. We're not suggesting Cody's run should be cut short, but a clean win would be a mistake as it'd only serve to diminish the drawing power of one of the company's biggest acquisitions.

You can find out what other matches have been added to the Fyter Fest card below.
