We knew it would come down to these two, and sure enough, Kenny Omega will face Adam Page in the final match of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament at Full Gear.
The Hangman managed to defeat Wardlow in a very good semi-final encounter, hitting back-to-back Buckshot Lariats to score the pinfall victory. Then, later in the night, The Cleaner took on Penta El Zero (Rey Fenix was forced to pull out due to injury). Despite a valiant effort from the Lucha Brother, Omega was ultimately able to hit the One-Winged Angel and pick up the win.
Speculation points to Kenny emerging victorious and going on to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW Heavyweight Championship, but it's by no means a certainty. Omega is the heel in this scenario, but we've seen him feud with Mox in the past, so Hangman would make more sense if the powers that be want to keep things fresh.
Either way, the winner of this tournament has a very good chance of dethroning The Purveyor of Violence and becoming the new champion.
