Scorpio Sky Feels That He's Been Off AEW Television Due To A Recent Interview

The former TNT Champion has finally come out and spoken about his long absence from AEW and Scorpio Sky reveals that he's as clueless as everyone else on why he's not on television.

Is someone pissed at Scorpio Sky?

The former TNT Champion hasn’t wrestled since September 2023. That's nearly two years at this point. Many assumed that Sky was injured, but the 41-year-old has been ready to go for over a year now and he’s still sitting on the sidelines without any indication of a return.

Sky has finally come out and spoken about his absence in AEW and he speaks on his Creating Character podcast about the possible reason he’s been kept off of television for so long. He feels that management may have not been too thrilled about what he said in his interview with Chris Van Vliet .

“I love that show. To be honest with you, I didn’t lie when I was on the show, but I definitely went out of my way to not make the company look bad. I really wanted to preserve a relationship that has been built over a number of years, and I didn’t want to say anything that would poison that relationship. Come to find out, someone there still maybe has a few issues with some of the things I may have said. Now I’m like, ‘Screw it, I’m going to say whatever the hell I want now.'”

Sky runs through various reasons on why he’s been on the sidelines for so long, but he ultimately feels that he’s in the dark like so many other people.

“It’s something that has been on my mind. I don’t think about it too much, but sometimes I do wonder, ‘What is the perspective? Do people think I’m not profiled because I suck, I don’t have it anymore, I’m hurt, do they they think there is bad blood?’ The reality is I don’t know what it is. I don’t know if there is bad blood or not. I know I’m healthy and I’ve been healthy for a long time and I’ve been wanting to compete. It’s just one of those things where, what can you do? You only have so much say. You have this much [holds fingers close together] say. You do what you can.”

In the last report regarding AEW and Scorpio Sky’s status, Fightful stated that creative simply had nothing for the former TNT Champion. It’s a shame since Sky is a talented performer, though the lack of communication between him and AEW officials has been a notable issue for plenty of talent throughout the years.

Though Scorpio isn’t on AEW television, he is still competing on various independent shows. Hopefully, this issue between him and AEW management is sorted out and he’s given a chance to fight on AEW television again.
