WWE Reportedly VERY Interested In Signing MJF When His AEW Deal Reaches Its End In 2024

MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) is arguably the hottest young star in wrestling today, and after recently confirming his AEW contract ends in 2024, it's now said that WWE could be very interested in signing him.

MJF has teased on multiple occasions that there will be a bidding war for him when his AEW contract ends in 2024, and it definitely sounds like there's interest on WWE's side.

According to Andrew Zarian on his "We're Live, Pal" podcast, he noted that executives at FOX and the USA Network who have MJF on their radar, especially after that blistering promo with CM Punk on AEW Dynamite a few weeks ago. Apparently, after MJF mentioned that his AEW deal is up in 2024, a network executive said: "I actually stopped what I was doing and listened to him. I don’t think I have done that with pro wrestling in a long time."

A WWE source has told Zarian that similar conversations have taken place in WWE, with one telling him "He has everything we would want. It really depends on if he could be that same person on WWE TV."

Something tells us he probably couldn't, and while MJF continues to tease a jump to WWE (see below), we find it hard to imagine that's a company he really wants to work for...in its current state, anyway! The fact is, a lot can change between now and 2024, and we're no doubt going to be looking at a scenario where MJF is the hottest free agent in pro wrestling.

We'd bet on Tony Khan doing whatever he can to keep MJF in AEW, though...

Problem is “they” wouldn’t permit him to be the same on the WWE brand. They need to ditch “creative” and the painfully scripted promos. I can’t watch anymore and I’ve been watching WWE since the early 80s.

HAHAHAHA!! Nooo. I don't think they could offer him enough money even if he wanted to. They'd destroy his character and release him within a year.
