It looks like Britt Baker did indeed sustain a knee injury on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite, and it might be much more serious than we originally suspected.
Baker was involved in a tag-team match with Nyla Rose, Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander. At one point, her opponents picked up The Native Beast and slammed her into the corner where Britt was waiting to share the bump, but it appeared that she wasn't able to straighten her leg in time and ended up absorbing most of the impact on her knee.
Baker did her best to finish the match, but was visibly limping and wound up being helped to the back afterwards. Reports are now doing the rounds online that the talented wrestler may have suffered a torn ACL, which could put her on the shelf for up to nine months.
It's important to note that this development has not been confirmed by AEW, so hopefully it proves to be inaccurate and Britt will be back on her feet a lot sooner. We're hearing that she's now scheduled for an MRI to determine the extent of the damage, so stay tuned for updates.
