Impact Wrestling star Alberto El Patron, formerly known as WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio, has dropped some hints that he's nearly finished with his pro wrestling career. He has plenty of other irons in the fire, of course, including working with MMA promotion Combate Americas and running a sadly unsuccessful Mexican restaurant in Texas. So, when might his retirement tour kick off?

During a recent Impact Wrestling media call, El Patron reportedly said that while he's planning on wrestling throughout 2018, he may have his final run in 2019 (he's 40 years of age, so now isn't a terrible time to call it quits). Apparently, he blames "keyboard warriors and the dark side of the business" for his decision to walk away but pointed out that he loves "real wrestling fans."

El Patron may have a point there but he's been the focus of many a negative headline online due to his behaviour and with Paige reportedly splitting up with him, it's easy to see why he may want to step out of the spotlight and why he's soured on the industry (working for Impact Wrestling probably hasn't helped).
