It appears Myron Reed isn’t officially with TNA Wrestling just yet.
There’s been some buzz about the former MLW World Middleweight Champion when TNA posted the Rascalz member on their website. That seemingly confirmed that Myron Reed was a permanent member of the roster, but according to Fightful Select, that’s not the case.
Reed is currently working without a contract. The 29-year-old recently stepped in for Trey Miguel, who is sidelined with a hernia injury. The report states that Reed is expected to work further TNA dates and there’s a possibility that he could end up signing with TNA full time, but as of now, he’s working as a free agent.
Reed made his return back in June. He was an original Rasclaz member back in 2018/2019 before Trey, Wentz, and Wes Lee went to TNA/Impact Wrestling. Reed chose MLW and he’s had a rather successful career in that promotion. Reed made his first Impact appearance in 2023 by helping Miguel and Wentz regain the Impact World Tag Team titles. He’s made sporadic appearances since then.
Reed talked about why he opted to not join Miguel, Wentz, and Lee (who was Dezmond Xavier at this time) with Irish Wrestling & Entertainment and it’s a case where he simply wanted to be his own man.
"Whenever I seen all of those guys (The Rascalz) getting signed to TNA and they was just happening one after the other, you know? And they were killing things and I was just like, ‘Man, I don’t wanna get lost in the shuffle. I wanna be my own man, I wanna go somewhere and shine myself and see if I can do it without the help of my brothers.’ I chose the route of MLW and it was fun and it worked out for me. I got to do a lot of cool things there."
But he’s enjoyed the experience of reuniting with his brothers in TNA.
"I was just really excited to get to team with my brothers again (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz in IMPACT/TNA). Like I said, I went with MLW and we had done like a couple indie tag teams but we hadn’t really got on like we were. We wanted to get on together at some point and that moment in TNA was really cool. The Bound For Glory thing was awesome too because you know, a big weekend, a lot of eyes on it."
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Reed ends up signing with TNA though given his resistance to sign a full time contract, he’s probably waiting for a call from WWE. Reed’s talented and young, so there’s also a possibility that he can go there.
