Kenny Omega's contract officially ends on January 31, 2018. While last year there was heavy concern that the current IWGP United States Champion and Bullet Club Leader would be leaving for WWE, there doesn't seem to be any indication that Omega is leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Omega's next deal with New Japan is expected to get the megastar a pay raise and more control in terms of the angles he's involved in. There's so much confidence in Omega staying with NJPW, that he's already being booked for shows past his current deal.
Ring Of Honor has Omega advertised for their Supercard of Honor show on April 7th. NJPW is planning to make Omega an integral part of their 2018 plans, and Omega is very confident that he'll be staying in Japan as well. He recently told
Tokyo Sports,
“I’m staying in New Japan 100 percent. This is where wrestlers can be themselves and fight for themselves. I want to show how great a place it is.”
