The chances of CM Punk returning to the world of pro wrestling appear to be somewhere between slim and none, especially as he's forging ahead with his seemingly ill-advised UFC career. However, speculation has been running rampant that he'll be part of Cody Rhodes' All In event, especially as it was announced that he'll be doing a signing for Pro Wrestling Tees in Chicago that weekend.

During a recent interview, Cody Rhodes was asked about the possibility of Punk making a surprise return at the show and while he wouldn't confirm or deny anything, he did say that Punk's name has come up during the planning of the show, so he clearly wouldn't say no to making him part of that!

"I had a really great relationship with Punk," he explains. "When I came to OVW, he was the locker room leader and he was super cool to me and he probably shouldn’t have been. He had worked for 10 years and was in developmental. He was really nice to me and you never forget that. We want him to win his fight," he added referring to Punk’s fight at UFC 225 in Chicago.

As for the chances of the Best in the World showing up at All In, he said: "If Punk wants to be a part of it, of course, he is unbelievably welcome. His city has and the wrestling world never ever has given up on Punk. That’s to speak to the body of work and equity he had with them.” It seems we'll just have to wait and see for now but we should probably brace ourselves for disappointment!
