Royal Quest didn’t just have just one title change, as Hiroshi Tanahashi walked out victorious and became the new RevPro British Heavyweight Champion.
For over the past year, the 2018 G1 Climax winner and Zack Sabre Jr. have been going back-and-forth when it comes to wins and losses. At the G1 Supercard Show in Madison Square Garden, Sabre Jr. shocked many by making the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion tap out.
Tanahashi avenged his loss on day five of the G1 Climax tournament by defeating ZSJ in a jackknife pinning combination. That result ultimately led to another match between the New Japan talents, but this time for the RevPro British Heavyweight Championship.
ZSJ did what he does best, out maneuver his opponents with various submissions and technical wrestling; however, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion would be the man who emerged victorious in the end. Tanahashi connected with the High Fly Flow and got the three count.
