Many young up-and-coming wrestlers are content to ply their trade on the indie circuit, but one would assume that 99% of 'em would still jump at the chance to join the big leagues if WWE came a calling.

However, current NJPW star Will Ospreay has revealed that he was contacted by the company but turned down their offer.

Here's what the talented British wrestler had to say while appearing on the latest edition of Chris Jericho's podcast:

"As a kid you would always want your Wrestlemania...It's always been in the back of my mind. But as I come here (NJPW) and grown up more, I don't do very well traveling as it is. Those guys (in WWE) are wrestling on Christmas day and New Years. That would have killed me. Christmas for me is family. I love being with my family."

What do you guys make of Ospreay's reasoning? Would you like to see him rethink WWE's offer some day? Sound off below.
