Rich Swann Has Been Booked For A Number Of Indie Shows During WRESTLEMANIA Weekend

Despite being released by WWE after charges of domestic battery were dropped, former Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann has reportedly been booked to wrestle at a number of Indie shows during WrestleMania.

When a Superstar is released from WWE, the standard policy is that they're not allowed to wrestle for another promotion for at least 90 days. For whatever reason (possibly because he was suspended for so long), that seemingly doesn't apply to Rick Swann because he'll be back on the Indie scene by WrestleMania weekend. In fact, it sounds like he'll be back to work a little while before that.

"Rich Swann is gonna be doing a bunch of indies from mid-march on so he didn’t have a 90-day no compete as usual because he’s gonna be starting in a couple weeks," Dave Meltzer revealed during a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, adding that he's also booked a number of shows during WrestleMania weekend as well as a House of Hardcore event on March 23rd.

The various charges against Swann in regards to the fight he had with his wife were dropped and while that may not have been enough for WWE, independent wrestling promotions clearly feel differently.
