For the first time since their re-introduction into the wrestling world back in 2017, Major League Wrestling will be holding a pay-per-view event this fall.
MLW CEO Court Bauer told
Sports Illustrated that on Saturday, November 2, the company will debut Saturday Night SuperFight and it will take place near Chicago at Cicero Stadium. Bauer confirmed that every championship in the promotion will be defended at the event. The MLW CEO views this opportunity as a chance for the company to make a statement. Bauer revealed that he plans on only charging $19.95 for the pay-per-view.
The show will be available to purchase on all cable and dish carriers in the United States and Canada, and the ability to live stream the event is still being processed. Bauer explained how, during this past year, the company has been reaching it's production goals as they anticipate this first-time event.
"This year has been about expanding into live programming," Bauer stated.
"The evolution of a promotion is to produce more live content, and another milestone for us is pay-per-view. And now, we're going to get there with Saturday Night SuperFight on November 2."
The MLW CEO ensures fans that the pay-per-view won’t simply be thrown together in a few weeks, as the build for the match-ups at the inaugural show will indeed come months in advance. This is definitely exciting news for the independent promotion as they have been putting on a solid product for months and hopefully with this pay-per-view deal, new fans will checkout the talented MLW roster.
