Justin Gonzales is now a member of Bellator MMA.
The current LFA featherweight champion has signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion, according to MMA Junkie. The exact details of his contract remain disclosed.
Gonzales has been fighting professionally since 2016, with eleven wins on his record thus far. A majority of those wins came from his time in Sparta Combat League. The 29-year-old actually received an opportunity to fight in Dana White’s Contender Series last year and despite a lopsided win over Zach Zane, Gonzales wasn’t offered a contract from White.
Gonzales then made his debut for Legacy Fighting Alliance and immediately got a title shot against the undefeated Jake Childers. The featherweight got a TKO win in the fourth round to become the new LFA featherweight champion back in July.
Gonzales is expected to vacate the featherweight title, though there’s no word on when he’ll make his debut for Bellator MMA. Gonzales joins a stacked division that features Adam Borics, Juan Archuleta, Derek Campos, Saul Rogers, and the Bellator Lightweight World Champion Patricio Pitbull. Gonzales’ professional record currently stands at 11 wins and 0 losses.
