Corey Anderson will finally have his first fight in Bellator MMA.
The former top ranked UFC light heavyweight will make his debut on Nov. 5 as Anderson is set to headline Bellator 251 against Melvin Manhoef.
Even though Anderson is coming off a loss to Jan Błachowicz at UFC Fight Night 167, the light heavyweight has won four of out his last five fights, beating Patrick Cummins (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 128), Glover Teixeira (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 134), Ilir Latifi (via unanimous decision at U232), and Johnny Walker (via TKO at UFC 244). Overall, Anderson enters the bout with a professional record of 13 wins and 4 losses.
Manhoef is currently in the midst of a two-fight winning streak as the light heavyweight has beaten Kent Kauppinen (via unanimous decision at Bellator 223) and Yannick Bahati (via TKO at Bellator 230). Since joining Bellator in 2014, Manhoef has only lost three fights, with his recent loss being against Rafael Carvalho in 2017. Manhoef’s professional record currently stands at 32 wins, 14 losses, and 1 no contest.
The fight will take place at Bellator 251 on Nov. 5. at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and will air on CBS Sports Network.
