Bellator MMA is now the new home for Jaleel Willis.
The current Legacy Fighting Alliance Welterweight Champion has officially inked a multi-fight deal with the promotion, according to MMA Junkie.
Willis made his professional debut back in 2014 and the 28-year-old went on an impressive undefeated 8-fight winning streak that saw four bouts end via TKO. Despite suffering his first loss to Kyle Stewart at LFA 33, Willis bounced back quickly and managed to enter his first title opportunity against Vinicius de Jesus on the strength of three big wins.
After a five-round contest, Willis ultimately beat Jesus via unanimous at LFA 88, and became the new Legacy Fighting Alliance Welterweight Champion. Willis has fought for Bellator MMA in the past, with the welterweight owning a victory over Omar Johnson at Bellator 162. Willis enters the promotion with a record of 13 wins and 2 losses. There’s no word on when Willis will make his debut for the company.
Willis joins a stacked welterweight division that features top names such as Paul Daley, Andrey Koreshkov, Michael Page, and the current Bellator Welterweight World Champion, Douglas Lima.
