Anthony "Showtime" Pettis stunned the UFC world last month when he connected with a Superman punch to knock out Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson at UFC Fight Night 148 last month. Making his debut in the 170-pound division, Pettis, a former lightweight champion, took some big shots from Thompson, one of which cut his nose. Apparently, the cut wasn't the only damage he suffered that night.

Pettis told ESPN that he also suffered a broken nose during the fight. Thankfully, Pettis will not need surgery to fix the nose; however, he must rest for four-to-six weeks to recover.

With his win over Thompson last month, Pettis became just the third fighter in UFC history to win a fight in three different weight classes (featherweight, lightweight, welterweight). He was also the first to knock out Thompson in his MMA career.

Pettis' next opponent has yet to be announced, though he did express a desire to fight the former double champion, Conor McGregor, this summer. He's even willing to fight McGregor in Ireland. While the fight is intriguing, McGregor seems caught up in a war of words with current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
