Before Max Holloway challenges Alexander Volkanovski for the UFC Featherweight title at UFC 251, revisit one of the veteran’s big fights during his championship reign.

Since beating José Aldo (via TKO at UFC 212) for the 145-pound belt, Holloway extended his 11-fight winning streak by beating Aldo again at UFC 218. Along the way, the 28-year-old defeated Anthony Pettis (via TKO at UFC 206), Jeremy Stephens (via unanimous decision at UFC 194), and Ricardo Lamas (via unanimous decision at UFC 199). His professional record going into his fight against Ortega was 19 wins and 3 losses.

Ortega entered the contest on a massive 14-fight winning streak, with the featherweight dropping big names such as Clay Guida (via KO at UFC 199), Cub Swanson (via submission at UFC Fight Night 123), and Frankie Edgar (via KO at UFC 222). Since fighting professionally in 2010, the featherweight had yet to lose a match-up inside the octagon. Ortega’s professional record was 14 wins and 0 losses going in.

Holloway managed to hand Ortega his first loss via knockout in the fourth round. However, this was an exciting match-up from beginning to end, with the championship bout earning the fight of the night honors. Check it out below:
