The UFC has been plagued with injuries lately and unfortunately you can add Dominick Cruz to the list. The #1 ranked fighter in the bantamweight division suffered a broken arm according to mulitple sources. Many believed that the bout would decide the next challenger to new bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw.

Cruz actually defeated Dillashaw for the bantamweight title back in January 2016 on UFC Fight Night. However, he loss the title to Cody Garbrandt last December via unamious decision.

Jimmie Rivera was on a huge roll as he's won his last 20 fights, including his first five in the UFC. The fighter has not lost since 2008, which was his second career fight. Bantamweight contender John Linker told MMA Fighting that he would be interested in replacing Cruz, but no word has been said on whether the fight will happen or not.
