Chris Weidman isn’t retiring any time soon.
Back at UFC Fight Night Boston, the former UFC Middleweight Champion suffered another devastating loss, this time to Dominick Reyes via first round knockout. The 35-year-old hasn’t had the best luck inside the octagon recently, as Weidman has only won one fight within his last five appearances, which was against Kelvin Gastelum back in 2017.
Following the main event fight at UFC Boston, the UFC President noticed that Weidman didn’t sound like he was planning to retire any time soon, and White stated that he was going to talk to the former UFC Middleweight Champion about entertaining the possibility (transcript courtesy of

“What he said tonight didn’t sound to me like he is considering retirement,” White said.
“So it’s a conversation he and I definitely need to have. This was his move up to light heavyweight, which obviously didn’t go well for him. So maybe he goes back down to middleweight or he thinks about maybe retiring.”
