The Days Of Brock Lesnar Jumping Between WWE And UFC Are At An End

Brock Lesnar made headlines last year when he returned to UFC for a fight with Mark Hunt. Unfortunately, his win was rendered null and void when he failed a drug test and that meant WWE was unable to promote The Beast's victory when he returned for a match with Randy Orton at SummerSlam. It was embarrassing for both sides and now UFC President Dana White has said it won't happen again.

"Lesnar was still under contract with WWE till next August," White says. "Who knows what would have happened. I don’t count my chickens anymore, I’ll tell you that … [the WWE] didn’t want to do that again. You saw what happened last time he was under contract and it doesn’t look good for anybody." Lesnar's current WWE contract ends after WrestleMania so we now know he won't be back in the octagon until some time after that (and even then it seems unlikely).

What a difference a few months make, though, eh? It wasn't that long ago it looked like Lesnar was going to square off with Jon Jones for a big money fight but those plans came crashing to a halt when he also failed a drug test. With that no longer in the works, Lesnar has clearly lost interest and as he gets older, the chances of him going back to real fighting are probably between slim and none.
