Former TUF Brazil competitor Sergio Moraes is gone from the UFC.

This is coming off the heels of his fight against James Krause at UFC Sao Paulo, as the Brazil native lost the bout via knockout in round three. MMA Fighting was the first to report the news.

Though Moraes didn’t win the The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil in 2012, Dana White still signed the welterweight to a contract deal. Moraes got off to a strong start in his UFC career with wins over fighters such as Neil Magny, Omari Akhmedov, and Renée Forte; however, since his victory over Ben Saunders in September 2018, Moraes has been failing to find the magic he had early in his career.

Neither the UFC or Moraes has commented on the situation. The 37-year-old leaves the promotion with a record of 14 wins, 6 losses, and 1 no contest.
