Current UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway (19-3), and MMA Icon Frankie Edgar (22-5-1) will meet at UFC 222 in Las Vegas on March 3. MMA Fighting confirmed an initial Monday report by MMA Junkie. The two featherweights were originally scheduled to fight at UFC 218 in Detroit last month. But due to an orbital bone injury, unfortunately Edgar had to pull out. Holloway instead faced (and defeated via TKO) the man from whom he took the title.

Holloway’s victory over Aldo was his 12th consecutive victory, the fifth-longest in UFC history. Edgar, in the meanwhile, looks to become the fifth fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two different weight classes. The New Jersey featherweight is currently on a two-fight win streak.
