On Saturday, Light Heavyweight fighter Volkan Oezdemir was arrested with aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability in Fort Lauderdale- which is a second-degree felony. Well, according to a report in the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the 28-year-old Oezdemir was in a fight with a man named Kevin Cohen. Cohen sustained swelling and received cuts on his head from the fight, it was said at the hearing. Its unclear how the fight started.

The supposed incident took place at an unnamed bar in Florida. Oedemir's attorney, Bruce A. Zimet, described the incident as a bar room altercation and said Oezdemir was not the aggressor and was totally justified in his actions. His bond is still set at $10,000. The UFC has still not released a statement regarding the situation as they are investing it.
