New Japan Pro Wrestling made their return this past weekend.

According to PWInsider, the company held a secret taping in Los Angeles, California and former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Tom Lawlor made his debut.

Labeled, Lion’s Break Collison, which heavily features the new wrestlers in the Japanese promotion, talents such as Jeff Cobb, TJP, Rocky Romero, Clark Connors, Alex Coughlin, Karl Fredericks, and Misterioso competed as well.

In terms of Lawlor, there’s no word on whether the former MLW World Heavyweight will make future appearances for the company, though MLW officials were informed of the 37-year-old’s debut before the taping and even have a story about Lawlor competing in NJPW. Back in March, the company confirmed that Lawlor signed a multi-year deal with the promotion, thus he’ll remain with MLW for a while even if he’s competing in New Japan.

There’s no word on when the company will air the Lion’s Break Collison. New Japan Pro-Wrestling is set to make their television return on June 15 with their Together Project Special event, which is a show that has a mystery card. The New Japan Cup tournament will begin on Tuesday, June 16.
