Gabriel Kidd has suffered a major injury.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling has confirmed that the 23-year-old will be out of action for the foreseeable future due to a neck injury. The promotion doesn’t reveal how or when Kidd got the major injury; however, they do confirm that he’s off the August 26 and 27 shows scheduled for Tokyo, Japan at Korakuen Hall.

Kidd has been a main player for NJPW since the company’s return to action last month. He competed in the 2020 New Japan Cup tournament, though he lost to former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori in the first round. Since then, Kidd has been fighting on the New Struggle events with his last match-up being a tag team bout that saw him team with Yuya Uemura to take on Ryusuke Taguchi & Satoshi Kojima.
