New Japan Pro-Wrestling has confirmed several matches for their Fighting Spirit Unleashed special.

On September 4 and 11, the Japanese promotion will hold their annual show in the USA and it will feature talents such as former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White, former NEVER Openweight Champion KENTA, former ROH World Television Champion Jeff Cobb, and former WWE Tag Team Champion Fred Rosser (formerly known as Darren Young).

Rosser will be making his NJPW debut here, though his opponent has yet to be confirmed. Since his WWE release in 2017, the 36-year-old has mainly competed on the independent circuit; however, the former WWE star has stated in the past that he would like to work for New Japan sometime in the future.

In addition to Fred Rosser’s debut on Sept. 4, Flip Gordon will take on Jay White and Brody King vs. Hikuleo is also set for the Fighting Spirit Unleashed special. On Sept. 11, KENTA and Jeff Cobb will fight for the right to become the next challenger for the IWGP United States Championship. KENTA currently holds the contract for the future title shot; however, Cobb has earned another opportunity at becoming the No. 1 contender after KENTA beat the 38-year-old in controversial fashion.

More matches will be announced soon!
