Fans who attended NXT Live events last week received an unexpected treat when various members of the main roster appeared at shows in Oklahoma City and Jacksonville. Over the weekend, Tyler Breeze returned to the developmental brand for a match which saw him defeat Marcel Barthel, while The Revival popped up on Thursday and Saturday to take on The Undisputed Era.

The popular tag team was also present for a show in Dallas on Friday when they took on The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake). So, does this mean the trio will return to NXT?

Nope. According to multiple sources, WWE Creative had nothing for them to do during the final days of the European tour so sent them on these NXT shows as a special treat for fans. With over 110 wrestlers on the active roster, it wouldn't be remotely surprising to see more big names head back to NXT for random appearances like this but it does seem like a shame in many respects.

After all, WWE has spectacularly dropped the ball when it comes to how The Revival has been handled on the main roster and the team should be tearing through the division by rights now.
