John Cena Gives High Praise To NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream: "There's Something Special There"

The Velveteen Dream is fast becoming one of the most popular Superstars on the NXT roster, and it looks like the flamboyant wrestler can count none other than John Cena among his many fans. More past the jump.

Despite being a heel, The Velveteen Dream is one of the most popular Superstars on the NXT roster right now, and is almost certainly a future champion.

Dream's in-ring ability and unique persona have endeared him to fans, but it seems he also has a supporter in the form of the one and only John Cena.

When asked which current NXT Superstar he'd most like to face during an appearance at the recent MegaCon event in Orlando, Cena said the following:

“You know how in the Star Wars movies the old Jedis can look at the rookie Jedis and be like, ‘I think that’s the one?’ I kinda have a weird, odd midichlorian feeling about Velveteen Dream. I think there’s something special there.”

An endorsement from someone with as much stroke with the company as Cena does is no small thing - something Dream seems to be only too aware of!
